Every year the Mount Pleasant Music Program engages in fundraising events to help support its goals. During these economic times, fundraising has become even more important since reductions in State appropriations have forced the district to re-examine allocations to existing programs. While our School Board and Superintendent have been wonderful in helping to maintain high quality music programs, we must still do our part to seek external ways to fund our efforts. For those of you who have helped in these efforts, we are extremely grateful. This page contains information on existing fundraising campaigns. Please consider helping us by participating in one or more of these efforts.
In the spring of each year, Mount Pleasant IMB hosts the annual Jazz Night. This wonderful evening of jazz music, dancing, and a silent auction is fun for everyone and is the major fundraiser of the year for IMB.
Prior to the holiday season every winter, IMB conducts its annual sale of poinsettias and wreaths for your holiday decorating needs. Check the website or with an instrumental music student for details on how you can place your order so that you will have fresh decorations just in time for the holidays.
Come join the fun at local restaurants. Eat with your friends and fellow music enthusiasts and get a percentage of your bill donated to the Mount Pleasant Instrumental Music Boosters. As the dates approach, check the website to download the required coupons. Upcoming events will be posted on the website.
Throughout the year we will be going door-to-door asking for donations of cans and bottles that can be recycled for $0.10 each. It is amazing how quickly these cans and bottles add up. Below are dates and times of this year’s drives. We will meet at the high school and proceed to selected neighborhoods for canvassing.
If you need more information or have ideas for other fundraisers, please contact Linda Elliot at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for supporting the Mt. Pleasant Music Programs. As always, please keep saving those pop cans and bottles for our bottle drives!!
